Accelerated Fluid Dynamics in Games, Movies and Industry

DANSIS invites you to a seminar on accelerated fluid dynamics with focus on games, movies, and industry.
Historically the development of computational fluid dynamics has been motivated by universities and industry. Focus has been primarily upon accuracy, often at the expense of computational time. Obtaining quantitatively correct results has been the name of the game.
With input from the gaming and film industry, a current focus area of CFD is to create real-time fluid dynamics with decreased accuracy, whilst still retaining qualitative, ‘real-life’ comparable results .
As the borders between these two areas of research blur, this Dansis seminar will explore some of the techniques that are being developed in real-time CFD.
