Modelling of detailed kinetics in chemically reactive three-dimensional turbulent flows remains a huge challenge due to the vast number of species and reactions involved and the wide range of flow- and chemical time scales present. This seminar will provide an overview of existing and developing modelling techniques, experimental investigations and industrial challenges with emphasis on combustion related flows.
